I am raising funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas by joining 150 people on October 29, 2022, to go Over The Edge - literally! Over The Edge challenges you to face your fears, catch your breath, step up to the edge and rappel from a downtown skyrise in the heart of Austin. The first 150 fundraisers to raise a minimum of $1,500 will earn a spot to go Over The Edge.
Make-A-Wish came into my life in 2008 when they granted my wish to meet Mickey Mouse. I have been able to see and feel the impact that a wish does to a family. In a time that there was so much unknown to my family and I, they provided such a light. This August, I celebrated my 15th year of being cancer free. I had the opportunity to go Over the Edge the last two years and by doing this fundraiser I am able to help give back a small portion to Make-A-Wish and what they did for us. This will be the last year that we are going Over the Edge and would love if you could partner with me to help make more wishes come true.
More than 500 children in central and south Texas are diagnosed each year with a critical medical condition. Last year, Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas granted 309 wishes for local children. Research shows that a wish can give a child the mental and physical strength needed to fight their illness. You can help Make-A-Wish® reach more of these children and create hope, strength and joy in their lives. Money raised by rappellers goes towards granting these wishes.
