Over the past 3 years, I have been inspired by my daughter's courage as she has faced aggressive Leukemia, severe complications from treatment, 2 relapses, a bone marrow transplant, and now graft vs host disease. Throughout this journey, the best part has been her Make-A-Wish trip. I cannot say enough about this wonderful organization granting wishes to children with critical illness.
I am raising funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas by joining 200 people on June 8th & 9th, 2019, to go Over The Edge - literally! Over The Edge challenges you to face your fears, catch your breath, step up to the edge and rappel from the 32nd story of 600 Congress in the heart of downtown Austin. The first 200 fundraisers to raise a minimum of $1,500 will earn a spot to go Over The Edge.
"The act of rappelling down this building will be symbolic for me". "As a cancer mom and first responder, it represents the long and scary trek down to solid ground after a childhood cancer diagnosis". - Brenna Robinson
More than 550 children in central and south Texas are diagnosed each year with a critical medical condition. Last year, Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas granted 309 wishes for local children. You can help Make-A-Wish® reach more of these children and create hope, strength, and joy in their lives. Money raised by rappellers goes towards granting these wishes.
