Hi, I’m Nathan Griffith and I’m here on behalf of the make a wish foundation. This fundraising event means a lot to me because my cousin Billy Rutledge lost his battle with Cancer when we were just kids. The make a wish foundation was there to help him experience things he may not have ever had a chance to because his parents money was tied up in medical bills. Anything helps! Let’s get these families taken care of.
I am raising funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas by joining 150 people on June 5th, 2021, to go Over The Edge - literally! Over The Edge challenges you to face your fears, catch your breath, step up to the edge and rappel from a downtown skyrise in the heart of Austin. The first 150 fundraisers to raise a minimum of $1,500 will earn a spot to go Over The Edge.
More than 500 children in central and south Texas are diagnosed each year with a critical medical condition. Last year, Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas granted 309 wishes for local children. Research shows that a wish can give a child the mental and physical strength needed to fight their illness. You can help Make-A-Wish® reach more of these children and create hope, strength and joy in their lives. Money raised by rappellers goes towards granting these wishes.
