From me: If you know me, you know about my brother Louis. We had a fundraiser in his honor for several years after his death. I always wanted to do something similar to the way the Make A Wish Foundation did things. Even though this might not be in Louis' name, I am pledging to face my fear of heights if i'm lucky enough to raise enough money to qualify. Rappling from the first floor is plenty high for me, so this will be a challenge. However, since my illness, I try to face challenges with a smile on my face and determination in my heart. So please read below and consider donating to a wonderful cause!!
I am raising funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas by joining 200 people on June 8th & 9th, 2019, to go Over The Edge - literally! Over The Edge challenges you to face your fears, catch your breath, step up to the edge and rappel from the 32nd story of 600 Congress in the heart of downtown Austin. The first 200 fundraisers to raise a minimum of $1,500 will earn a spot to go Over The Edge.
More than 550 children in central and south Texas are diagnosed each year with a critical medical condition. Last year, Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas granted 309 wishes for local children. You can help Make-A-Wish® reach more of these children and create hope, strength and joy in their lives. Money raised by rappellers goes towards granting these wishes.
